Updates are conversations tied to a specific item. To access them, click the speech bubble icon in the row of the item you’re interested in. This opens the Updates panel for that item where you can read and post comments, attach files, and keep a threaded history. The Updates tab of the board, the notification center, or the item detail pane aren’t the direct access points for the per-item Updates in the same way.
